My reading speed and ability to concentrate improved gradually, with the result that I could study for longer periods on end. At present I make fewer spelling mistakes, while my work tempo has improved remarkably. During the first semester I still needed extra time to complete test and exam papers, which was not necessary during the last semester at all. These factors all contributed to better academic achievements, a better self-image, accompanied with greater purposefulness, motivation and self-discipline. — Chris van Niekerk, student in metallurgical engineering, South Africa.

His concentration has greatly improved; he actually listens to what the teacher is saying; less clowning in class. He can now actually pick up a book and read on his own, something he never did before. The principal called me to tell me that for the first time my son passed all his courses! He got a C in reading and a B in writing! — Laura Poland-Trudel, Canada.

At one time his reading was slow and halting. He would skip words and sentences and had difficulty understanding what he had just read. Reading used to be so much work for him that he didn't enjoy it and only read when he had to. Now he reads with ease and confidence. As a matter of fact, he enjoys reading so much that it isn't unusual to see him reading for pleasure now. The first time I heard him say he was "going to bed a little early so he could read before going to sleep" was music to my ears!!
His math scores have made a dramatic improvement. He is in a combined Geometry/Algebra course and lately his scores have been in the 90's or above on his daily work and tests. And for the first time ever he is ahead of his younger brother in their math lessons. – Sheri Browning, parent of a 16-year-old, stationed in Kuwait.

Our first noticeable success was a pupil who came to our school with a poor academic record whose prognosis was poor. The child was able to concentrate for extremely short periods of time only. In addition, he could not retain information for any period of time. After three months… a remarkable improvement was noted by all of his teachers. The child passed tests for the first time in his school career and has moved on to the high school where he is coping. — Mr. Peter Nel, Principal.

We have been doing it now for about a month and I can already see major improvements! Even his Sunday school teachers at our parish have noticed an improvement in his ability to write with little assistance. His self-confidence is up and he actually likes reading now! He used to 'hate' it, and often said that he didn't understand why he needed to learn to read. – Shannon Bruck, USA.

After six weeks the improvements were very obvious. For one he is actually doing 3rd grade math, which for him is amazing. His reading speed has improved, plus he doesn't get stuck on near as many words…. His attention span and attitude have also improved. He is getting so much more done than before. – Cindy B., MI, USA.

When I started teaching Roland in April this year, he was very unsettled and kept turning around or walking around in the classroom. I have noticed a vast improvement on this aspect. He has become a responsible boy who sits in his desk until a given task has been completed. He is a perfectionist and sees that all work is completed to the best of his ability. Roland was previously very reluctant to write longer stories due to the fact that there were always so many errors. Toward the end of the year, he was writing stories of a page and more with few spelling or grammatical errors. Roland has learnt to concentrate and carefully choose his sentences. He had also gained confidence with regard to spelling, as his phonics has improved remarkably. — Mrs. Djudmanz, teacher.

The other day he picked up a book and I was amazed to hear him actually reading without any stammering, hesitation or repetitions. It was the first time he had ever managed without being taught the words first. Now, whenever there is any spare time, he asks if we can read. – Jennie van Zyl, remedial teacher, South Africa.

His self-esteem had deteriorated, his attention span had lessoned and he was overwhelmed with any schoolwork. His lack of concentration made it impossible to teach him…. That was four weeks ago and I can't believe the changes in Jacob. His self-esteem has improved along with his memory recall, concentration and left/right recognition. – Susan Lounder, USA.

For the last 12 months Mark has shown an interest in reading the daily paper; this has improved dramatically over the last 6 months, where his reading interest seems to have widened. He has just finished to read his first ever book, The Bourne Identity! I could only ever judge his writing skills on e-mails, which he would ask me to correct for him. These have always been extremely basic in spelling and grammar. Only just recently have I noticed that e-mails he has written are now longer in text, have better sentence structure and have acceptable spelling (no spell check is used). – Mrs. Beech, parent of Mark, an adult, Australia.

The first quarter of the year is complete and we just received Jonathan's report card. He had an overall average of 85, a 13 point improvement from the first quarter of last year. We are all thrilled with the result but know there is a lot more to be done. His best grade was in spelling, which was the biggest improvement as well. — Mr. K. Borden, PA, USA.

Because their focus is so much better we have less homework and what we have goes quickly. Their spelling has greatly improved and learning new words has become a game, not the dreaded chore it once was.— Nita Brist, WA, USA.

The boy did his mid-term test so well he was rewarded the most improved child in his class. He scored 433 marks out of 500 where he used to score less than 350. He is so happy with his results and he is very confident that he will still perform well in the end of year exam. — Phyllis Kariuki, Kenya.

The improvement in the children's reading and spelling ability after a year was great. I had no children with spatial problems. They could all sequence and their memories improved. She now carries out instructions after they have been given once only and completes her work in the allotted time. She concentrates better and does not reverse any more. For the first time she received a certificate at last year's prize giving. — Mrs. van Zyl, Namibia.

I can tell that he is more organized in his thoughts, spells better, is more willing to learn, can easily tell left from right, can stop to focus and think things through, handwriting has improved, etc. This has flowed into other behavior as well, such as a desire to have his surroundings organized and a cleared worked space. He is more aware of himself now, if that makes sense, and is more able to value others spaces and feelings. – Angela, USA.

I must advise that Ilze's progress has been very positive and I can almost say that she is going from strength to strength with regards her schoolwork. I have had so many positive reports from her teachers and not only have her Math and English improved but also her drawings in general, her attitude towards school and she remembers things much better. — Mrs. P. J. van der Walt.

At the end of Grade 1 Ulandi could not read at all. She did not know her sounds and was therefore also unable to spell. Because her friends could do what she could not do, Ulandi completely distanced herself from them…. Now, at the end of Grade 2, she can read anything! Her spelling is also good. Her relationship with her friends has also improved. She even participates in athletics now, which she previously avoided. — Mrs. A. Hartzer.

He will actually pick up things to read on his own and choose books at the library which he never, never has done before; he is 11 years old by the way. My husband and I are so happy with the program. Thank you! – Sarah Hinson, USA.

At ten, Kyle could not read a word! He was teased and laughed at, but amazingly was well behaved and had a heart of gold. To begin with his shoulders sagged as he trudged to our classroom but within two weeks he would run to meet me with a huge smile on his face, both he and I as excited as each other! His achievements during the year were truly phenomenal.… His reading by the ninth month was at a grade five level and he was continually praised at school for his outstanding achievements. – Marj Arslanian, reading tutor.

We began less than six weeks ago, and Grant's reading and writing have already improved. So have his concentration, memory and (believe it or not) his obedience. — Heather Smit, South Africa.

Her principal even came up to me to comment on how well Katelyn has been doing this year…. She has been on grade level all year – she hasn't been falling behind. We live in the United States and our school district administers the Metropolitan Achievement Test every spring for grades 2-8. We just got her results last Friday. Last year she was below average for all subjects. This year her scores placed her in the average range for everything but science – but her class didn't have a lot of science this year. Her basic score doubled from last year! In other words she did twice as well this year as last year. – Pat Kuhn, PA, USA.

Kenny is now receiving ALL A's on his report card. He is so proud of himself as well as his father and I are of him. His confidence level alone had helped him with his success. Kenny's ability to spell now is stunning all of us. His ability to decipher words is phenomenal. I can hardly believe the words he is able to master. The most incredible thing with Kenny is that when he is tired and things get fuzzy for him, he is able to refocus and know where to begin again to obtain the goal of completing the task set out for him. – Donna, USA.

My son has suffered from dyslexia and has tried the following: remedial teaching, extra lessons and occupational therapy. Unfortunately, although there was an improvement my son's problem remained. This resulted in him avoiding any reading and writing. He developed behavioral problems. He was ashamed of his dyslexia…. Within a period of two months he improved to the extent that he will pick up and read a newspaper or magazine of his own free will – without prompting. He has stopped reversing and substituting the letters b, p, and d. – Mrs. K. G. Robertson.

The difference in Keaton is phenomenal and what has made it especially rewarding for us is that he can see the difference. His concentration has improved drastically. – Judy and Paul Ditchfield.

Within two weeks, the teachers say that in class there is a difference in the attitude of the children. They are more eager to work and more purposeful in the execution of instructions. After as little as two months, an improvement starts to show in the school marks. The marks improve from 40% to 60%, from 50% to 75% and even from 80% to 90%. – Maryna Smith, Arauna Motivational and Enrichment Centre, South Africa.

His spelling and visual memory have definitely improved, as well as his concentration and motivation. In the remedial class, he was the student who spelled his words correctly, week after week, and day after day. His teacher had also remarked that there is a distinct improvement in his schoolwork. – Mrs. Willies, remedial teacher.

Now, after three months, his work has already improved remarkably. Where previously he was reluctant and often even refused to read, he is now eager to read and sometimes even asks his teacher for an extra reading lesson. His tendency to reverse words – he often read words like "net" as "ten" – has disappeared and the reversal of letters and figures has diminished drastically. All this has of course improved his reading speed. The same improvements are also noticeable in his written work. His concentration, memory and self-confidence have also improved and the effect of this can be seen in his general schoolwork. Even his coordination has improved. — Mr. & Mrs. van Heerden.

One day, I hear my daughter in her room, and realize she is reading a book to herself. Even though we weren't working on that area, she suddenly took off! She now picks up books all the time and reads them, and reads all the signs she sees on the roads, etc. We saw enough improvement in that short time to know that we have found a big key to her success, and I know it will continue as we pick back up again for the school year. – Becky R., USA.

We did not expect him to ever be presented with the merit certificate of 'Most Improved Student' in his school, which he received at the end of last semester. We understand from his teacher that he is a more confident child and that his reading, spelling and maths have improved in 'leaps and bounds'. — Grayham and Hazel Allot, Australia.

He finished the school year on a real high. His reading age went up by 2 years in less than 6 months and he is now making far fewer mistakes and is also self correcting himself when it doesn't make sense. His spelling age improved as well and he also did really well in the end of year exams with his best results in most subjects. — Jenny Critchley, UK.

His work tempo gradually increased. While he previously failed to complete his exam papers within the allotted time, he was able to do it by the end of the year. Because he could now write faster and concentrate better he made fewer mistakes. Homework sessions do not take so long anymore and therefore he is less frustrated and rebellious about it. His spelling has also improved and he is much more positive and motivated to study. He passed all his subjects at the end of the year. — Mrs. M. Waldeck, parent of an 18-year-old, South Africa.

We have had reports back from the teacher that he is producing the most amazing maths, his concentration levels are great, his memory has improved drastically, his reading has improved and his self-confidence has also improved. Last term he came third in a class of 26 children for spelling. — Wendy and John Davidson.
