Liberty Lighting the World, a.k.a. the Statue of Liberty, on Liberty Island, New York City, was presented to the United States by France in 1886 to commemorate liberty and friendship between the nations.

The 92099-m-tall (305-ft 1-in) statue weighs 24.635 tonnes (54.3 million lb), of which 28 tonnes (61.729 lb) are copper, 113 tonnes (250,000 lb) are steel and 24.493 tonnes (53.9 million lb) make up the concrete in the pedestal.
