Improve Your Child's Handwriting

Poor handwriting could be an indication of a variety of learning problems. Some of these include dyslexia, dysgraphia, faulty visual perception of letters and words, and poor fine motor skills, to mention a few.

The Audiblox teaching system can help your child develop good handwriting skills through a variety of exercises. Two of the exercises that specifically aim at improving fine motor skills include:

  • Crumpling papers. The learner is required to crumple sheets of paper, which strengthens the hand muscles. The learner must crumple at least three sheets per hand during each session.

  • Throwing beanbags. Another exercise that helps to improve hand strength, which ultimately leads to better handwriting, is to throw and catch beanbags. There are four beanbags exercises, each one more challenging than the previous one.
Audiblox is a system of cognitive exercises, aimed at developing and automatizing foundational learning skills. Audiblox is effective for a variety of learning disabilities including dyslexia and dysgraphia. Click here for more information.
